GÜAVAGÜA
Güavagüa is a jewelry line designed and made by Catalina Escobar Díaz. Each piece reflects the vibrant landscapes and rich culture of Colombia. Inspiration is drawn from the lively colors used by the Wayuu people from la Guajira, the intricate patterns seen on gold artifacts from the pre-Colombian Quimbaya civilization, and the morphologies found in the lush Amazon Rainforest.
Jewelry Care
All pieces are handcrafted with various materials that require a particular type of cleaning.
Silver Plated:
Sterling silver may darken when exposed to oxygen, light, and varying PHs. Use soft cloth or with or without a non-abrasive silver cleaner to prevent damage.
Gold Plated / Galvanized Gold:
Use a soft cotton cloth to keep shiny and in good condition.
Glass & Crystals:
Use a soft, slightly damp cloth to clean the parts of crystal or glass.
Storage
To maintain your Güavagüa piece as new, store the items in a cool, dry place such as an individual bag, in the original packaging or in a closed box. Avoid contact with direct light or humidity, as long exposures can damage the pieces.
It is important to avoid contact with perfumes, cosmetic products cleaning agents and water.
